ProJoint™ TITAN™ is a powerful two part epoxy paving grout engineered for areas exposed to both heavy footfall and vehicular traffic of up to 10 tonnes. Similar in application to ProJoint™ Fusion™, it offers a fast and effective solution for filling joints between paving slabs and setts.
Ideal for use with natural stone and concrete paving, ProJoint™ TITAN™ combines strength with ease of use. The pre mixed resin and sand are supplied in a single tub—simply add the enclosed hardener to initiate the curing process. Once cured, it forms a robust, weed resistant, frost proof joint that stands up to pressure washing and long term wear.
- Permeable bedding mix not required.
- Part mixed components for fast application, all supplied within the mixing tub.
- Professional strength, self compacting and suitable for joint widths of 5mm upwards and min depth of 25mm.
- Weed, pressure washer and frost resistant.
- Ideal for paths and patios as well as driveways or other vehicular areas (up to 10 tonnes).
- Suitable for natural stone and concrete paving, setts and slabs.
- Please note: This product is not suitable for porcelain - please use RapidFlow brush in compound.
- Please note: Warm weather and direct sunlight will speed up product curing time.

Frequently Asked Questions – ProJoint™ TITAN™
Why can't ProJoint™ TITAN™ be used on porcelain paving?
TITAN is not suitable for porcelain due to its low porosity and dense, non absorbent surface. The high resin content in TITAN can leave an uneven or patchy sheen on porcelain, whereas it enhances the colour of natural stone attractively. For porcelain installations, we recommend using ProJoint™ RapidFlow, which is better suited to this type of material.
Are there any joint requirements for using TITAN?
Yes. Joints must be clean, free from debris, and have a minimum width of 5mm and depth of 25mm to ensure proper performance and longevity.
Why is there a resin film or dark sheen after application?
TITAN has a high epoxy resin content that enhances the natural colours and textures of the stone. This can sometimes appear as a dark or hazy film, particularly on grey paving such as granite. This is normal and temporary. To ensure a consistent appearance, always spread the mix over the entire paving surface. A test area is strongly recommended before full application.
How long does the resin film last?
The duration depends on weather conditions and foot traffic. In most cases, the sheen will naturally fade within 2 to 3 months in areas that are used semi-regularly.
How can I minimise the resin sheen during installation?
-
Use ProJoint™ Pre Grout Sealant:
Applying this sealant before grouting creates a barrier that helps prevent the resin from bonding to the paving surface, reducing visible sheen. -
Monitor Surface Temperature:
TITAN should only be applied when surface temperatures are between 3°C and 25°C. On sunny days, particularly with dark paving, surface temperatures can rise well above air temperature. Applying on overly warm surfaces can accelerate curing and increase the likelihood of resin marks. Cold weather slows the curing process, increasing moisture exposure and the risk of amine blush (a hazy residue). -
Preparation and Application:
Thoroughly soak the paving before applying. Use a wet, medium soft brush held at a 45° angle to remove excess product during application. Any sand or resin left on the surface will be difficult to remove once cured.
How long does TITAN take to cure?
Cure time depends on temperature and humidity. At 20°C, TITAN will typically allow:
-
Foot traffic after 12 hours
-
Light vehicle traffic after 24 hours
In colder or damp conditions, allow more time for curing. Joints may feel semi hard initially and will continue curing over several days.
Is TITAN permeable?
Yes. Once cured, TITAN remains permeable, allowing water to drain through the joints and helping prevent surface pooling.
Can I pressure wash after using TITAN?
Yes. After full curing, TITAN joints can be pressure washed. Use a fan nozzle and keep a safe distance to avoid damaging the jointing material.
Why choose TITAN over air cure jointing compounds?
TITAN is a chemically cured epoxy grout, offering significantly greater strength and durability than air cured alternatives. It is ideal for driveways, commercial spaces, and other high traffic areas.
Can I store mixed TITAN for later use?
No. Once mixed, the product must be used immediately. Only mix what is required for the task at hand.
Why is the surface of my paving tacky after application?
A tacky surface is usually caused by excess product not being cleaned off properly during installation. Use a damp sponge or cloth to wipe away residual resin as you go to avoid this issue.
What temperature is best for applying TITAN?
TITAN can be applied in temperatures above 3°C, but for optimal results, aim for conditions above 15°C. Avoid application during very cold, wet, or frosty weather, as this can delay curing and increase the risk of surface issues such as amine blush.
