That’s a really good question. High modulus carbon fibre offers far greater strength and rigidity compared with lower grade fibres such as 24T. This enables us to manufacture sections with much thinner wall thicknesses while still achieving exceptional stiffness and structural performance.

Our VANGUARD range of water fed poles are incredibly rigid. They are manufactured from high quality Toray M46J 46T grade carbon fibre and utilize filament woven sections rather than unidirectional carbon fibre, this increases both their rigidty and the lifespan of the sections.

We utilize a fibreglass handle section on our poles to offer a level of electrical insulation to prevent shock. Even though we offer this feature we always recommend avoiding use of carbon fibre products around any electrical installations such as pylons and overhead cables.
